Like every other writer out there, I know the struggle of finding my voice, that distinctive quality that makes your writing uniquely yours and no one else’s. But one thing I’ve found that works better than anything is to keep writing. It’s going to take time, but there is no other way. Just keep writing and writing. Write widely. Try different voices. Write until you find what works best for you. The more I write, the more I find myself developing and finding the voice that is truly mine, that makes my writing stand out, the writing that I know people can point to someday and say with confidence, “I know who that writer is.”
