This is the cover for Ink by debut author Amanda Sun.

Ink is a YA paranormal about a 16yo American girl who is sent to Japan to live with her English-teaching aunt and soon finds herself mixed up with her high school’s kendo star, a badass hottie whose ink sketches have the ability to come alive.

The premise itself is interesting enough to make me reach for my wallet but in a bookstore crammed on a shelf full of other YA paranormal books, that beautiful cover would have stood out to me right away.
